Description

Train the Trainer session on 22 March 2023 (11:00-13:00 CET) to better enable EDIHs and their representatives to provide client companies with practical basic training on blockchain technologies, crypto currencies and decentralised applications.

  • 11:05–11:35: What is blockchain?
  • 11:35–11:45: Different types of blockchains
  • 11:45–11:50: Q&A session
  • 11:50–12:00: Digital wallets
  • 12:00–12:15: Smart contracts and decentralised applications (dApps)
  • 12:15–12:20: Q&A session
  • 12:20–12:30: What is DeFi?
  • 12:30–12:40: What is NFT?
  • 12:40-12:45: Q&A session
  • 12:45-13:00: QUIZ

Learning outcomes

  • Basic understanding of blockchain technologies, crypto currencies, and decentralised applications
  • Ability to explain the technical aspects to others, in practical terms, using the materials and demos provided
  • Understand the characteristics of the different types of blockchain
  • Ability to explain to others the different types of blockchains and assets using references to online tools and resources
  • Insight on which new applications are enabled by blockchain and which existing applications are rendered obsolete as a result
  • Ability to show examples of live applications that rely on blockchain technologies and discuss use cases
