As part of the nationwide Digital Day 2025 and the Hydrogen Week, EDIH Thuringia is hosting the 1.5-day event "Future Workshop on Public Transport" in June 2025. The event provides a platform for exchange and information on current research findings related to digitalization and hydrogen, as well as practical insights into the future of public transport🚍💡. 📌 Day 1 | Thursday, June 26, 2025 | Digitalization for Public Transport Today & Tomorrow

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, we will focus on how digital solutions can make public transport smarter, more efficient, and user-friendly today and in the future. Experts from the European Digital Innovation Hub Thuringia will present practical examples, tools, and new approaches – from mobility data and check-in/check-out apps to AI applications.
📌 Day 2 | Friday, June 27, 2025 | Drive System Transition in Public Transport

Friday, June 27, 2025, will be dedicated to the drive system transition in public transport. In addition to expert talks on hydrogen, raw material supply chains, and strategic infrastructure planning, participants will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look:
Excursion to Stadtwirtschaft Weimar GmbH
After a ride on the hydrogen fuel cell bus from Stadtwirtschaft Weimar, you will have the opportunity for a tour with the Managing Director, Bernd Wagner. During the tour, you will visit the depot, learn about the operation of the hydrogen filling station, and explore the H2 workshop. You will have the chance to engage with the staff on-site, learn about day-to-day operations, and ask questions about the practical implementation of emission-free bus services.
