Pilot event of the ‘Automatic Traffic Detection’ training programme successfully completed

"The training programme provides in-depth knowledge of automatic traffic detection technologies and procedures and offers practical insights into legal and planning issues. The structured organisation in combination with intensive personal support and varied formats enables sustainable learning success," Florian Marx, employee of the engineering firm SVU Dresden, summarised in his participant feedback.

Over a period of nine weeks, the participants were first given a refresher on the basics of planning and carrying out traffic surveys in weekly online seminars, followed by information on the function and possible applications of the sensor technology of common detection systems, the basics and methods of machine learning with regard to traffic detection, an overview of the application-related and legal conditions of automatic traffic surveys and, in addition, aspects of data quality and the data life cycle and date exchange.

Besides participating in our seminars, the participants also contributed to the course by completing weekly application-related tasks, resulting in a weekly workload of around two and a half hours. We would like to thank the participants for their commitment! In addition to imparting knowledge, the events always offered the opportunity for interesting, subject-related dialogue with each other and thus enabled mutual enrichment of content.
