Success Story: Breaking Barriers in Bob Racing with Cutting-Edge Sensor Technology

Train the Trainer | Success Story

Train the Trainer course on Thursday 16 January 2025 (13:00-14:00 CET).

Part 1 of this course provided by Crowd in Motion, will offer a comprehensive overview of sensor technology markets, its various application sectors and their related benefits.

Part 2 will present the success story of the German Bobsleigh, Luge, and Skeleton Federation, an organisation that sought to revolutionse professional bobsleigh by incorporating sensor technology into the sport. This part of the course will detail their journey exploring whether sensor technology can be effectively integrated into professional bob racing sleds.

The German Bobsleigh, Luge, and Skeleton Federation sought to tackle their problem with digitalisation, by partnering up with Crowd in Monition to test whether or not sensor technology could provide accurate and immediate control feedback and accurately measure sled performance during races.

This opportunity allowed the federation to explore the world of Internet-of-Things, especially the techniques based on sensor technology, thus, providing them with valuable knowledge for developing more innovative training services.
