MIDAS is dedicated to transforming the manufacturing sector through comprehensive digital and green innovation initiatives, with a primary focus on supporting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) within Türkiye and the broader European Union framework. By establishing a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in Türkiye, MIDAS bridges the gap between cutting-edge digital technologies and the evolving needs of the manufacturing industry. The hub offers a wide array of services designed to enhance digital capabilities, foster innovation, and drive sustainable growth among SMEs.

Key Objectives and Services

1. Supporting Digital and Green Transformation

• Digital Maturity Assessments: Evaluate the digital capabilities of 100 SMEs using advanced tools like DMA and SIRI to create tailored transformation strategies.
• Training Programs: Enhance digital literacy and skills in AI, Big Data, Machine Learning, and Web 3.0 through targeted training initiatives.
• Consultancy and Mentorship: Provide personalized consultancy to develop Digital Maturity Plans, access funding opportunities, and integrate innovative solutions.
• Pre-Investment Testing: Offer a dedicated demo hub with the latest digital infrastructure, enabling SMEs to test and adopt suitable technologies before significant investments.

2. Increasing Organisational and Financial Capacities

• Comprehensive Support Package: Provide access to digital tools that improve organizational efficiency, enhance marketing strategies, drive R&D activities, and develop high-quality products while reducing costs.

• Funding Access: Assist SMEs in navigating financial barriers by connecting them with funding sources such as SME loans, venture capital, angel investors, and government incentives through partnerships with ISTKA and ARI.

• Workshops and Webinars: Conduct interactive workshops and webinars to share knowledge, best practices, and build a robust innovation ecosystem, engaging over 600 participants and providing hands-on training for 64 SMEs.

3. Collaborating with the European Digital Innovation Hubs Network

• Networking and Collaboration: Establish strong connections with existing EDIHs across Europe, such as ITBaltic, to foster long-term partnerships and collaborative projects, enabling resource sharing and joint innovation initiatives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Unite key industries, organizations, regulatory bodies, startups, and SMEs to create a vibrant collaborative environment and produce policy recommendation papers based on empirical evidence.
• International Research and Innovation Calls: Facilitate participation in prestigious programs like Horizon Europe, Eurostars, Eureka, Eranet, Digital Europe Program, TÜBİTAK, and KOSGEB, thereby increasing the visibility and competitiveness of Turkish SMEs on a global scale.
