Essentially, four main types of services are offered:
- Dissemination of basic knowledge on Enterprise 4.0 technologies
- Mapping the digital maturity of enterprises and assistance in launching digitisation processes through assessment and mentoring services
- Training courses on basic digital skills
Orientation towards more specialised structures such as DIHs and Competence Centres
Practical tools available are described bellow.
Digital Skills Voyager – tool
Digital Skill Voyager is a digital skills assessment tool aimed at students and workers and, more generally, at all those who are looking for a specific tool to measure their digital skills and to enhance them on the labour market.
Digital Skill Voyager is an online test set up using gamification techniques: the users will face a journey through time that will take them from Prehistory to the Renaissance, and then take a leap into the Future, all in a digital key! While it is an effective and rigorous tool, its execution is fun and dynamic.
There are five macro-areas of knowledge in which users will be able to engage:
- basic digitisation: Prehistoric era
- communication and sharing: Ancient era
- computational thinking and coding: Medieval era
- digital technologies and their applications: Modern era
- innovation and sustainability: Future era
At the end of the path, based on the answers given, the users will obtain an assessment that allows to discover their level in digital knowledge and possession of soft skills, also with a view to employability and professional appeal for the labour market.
Tool available in Italian, English and German.
SUSTAIN-ability - tool
SUSTAIN-abiliy is an online assessment to help companies know their sustainability performance in the environmental, social and governance spheres.
Through a set of multiple-choice questions, simple and easy to complete, SUSTAIN-ability returns an automatic report that allows companies to:
1. know the level of sustainability of their production processes and activities and thus have greater control over business risks;
2. better communicate their commitment to sustainability to the outside world, because it helps them know their strengths and weaknesses;
3. identify priorities for action and possible operational solutions for a progressive improvement in corporate sustainability performance.
An innovative element of SUSTAIN-ability is also the possibility of assessing the digital profile to understand how technological/innovative the company is with regard to sustainability.
The standards and criteria considered in the design of SUSTAIN-ability were:
- GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards;
- SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda;
UNI/PdR 134:2022 'Sustainability rating for smaller companies - Self-assessment model', which is aimed at all companies with up to 49 employees that want to assess their sustainability.
Tool available in Italian and English.
PID Cyber Check – tool
PID Cyber Check is a very quick test of about 30 questions that allows an initial self-assessment of the level of risk of a cyber attack to which the company is exposed.
"PID Cyber Check" does not provide an indication of the safeguards to be put in place to protect the company from cyber attacks, but it focuses on the possible risks one may face, while also providing an estimate of the economic damage resulting from possible attacks.
The service is free of charge, can be carried out by the company completely independently, and at the end a customised report will be produced based on the answers given to the test.
This tool will be soon reviewed in order to align to the Cybersecurity Maturity Assessment for Small and Medium Enterprises by ENISA. The reviewed version will be available at the beginning of 2024 and will be also translated in English.
Atlante i4.0 – tool
Born in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development, Atlante i4.0 is the first national portal of Italian facilities operating to support the digitisation, innovation and technology transfer processes of enterprises.
Thanks to the Atlante i4.0 portal, companies can find out about the 600 organisations active in Italy on specific topics such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing and augmented reality.
Atlante i4.0 allows a search for facilities both by geographical location and by digital technology specialisation, easing the matching of supply and demand for highly specialised figures in advanced technologies.
Tool currently available in Italian, but to be potentially translated in English.
