Ask Europe: join the Future of Work Challenge 50plus and shape tomorrow’s workplaces

The European Digital Innovation Hubs Network invites innovators across Europe to participate in the Future of Work Challenge 50plus, an EU-wide competition designed to harness artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies to improve working conditions and opportunities for professionals aged 50 and above.

People aged 50 and older bring invaluable leadership skills, experience and a strong sense of responsibility to Europe’s workforce. However, this generation faces increasing challenges in the job market. To ensure Europe’s economic recovery and social inclusivity, workplaces must become fairer, more efficient and more humane, especially for mature professionals.

What is the challenge about?

The 50plus Challenge is calling for practical ideas, digital solutions and best practices to transform workplaces and improve job opportunities specifically for those over 50. It seeks scalable working models powered by AI and other digital tools, providing greater innovation, workplace satisfaction and lasting impact.

Submissions can include:

  • practical ideas for new forms of work tailored to people aged 50+;

  • digital platforms or tools for matching, training or further education;

  • successful practices from across the EU that can inspire others.
