DTA Phase II: A new era for EDIHs in the European AI Ecosystem

The Introductory Webinar for EDIHs officially marked the beginning of the second phase of Digital Transformation Accelerator (DTA) for the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) Network. The session highlighted the strategic shift toward artificial intelligence (AI) as a central pillar of EDIH services and their integration into the broader EU AI ecosystem. 

Webinar highlights: 

• Introduction of the DTA team and overview of upcoming milestones for the Network. 

• AI will become a strategic priority, with EDIHs being encouraged to embed AI into their core services and actively collaborate with AI Factories, Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs), and High-Performance Computing (HPC) centres.
• The network will play a key role in promoting “AI Made in Europe” through the uptake and development of European AI solutions.
• The webinar underscored the importance of shared learning, transparent data, and sector-specific cooperation. EDIHs are invited to co-design future activities and contribute to a more integrated, AI-enabled, and user-friendly ecosystem. 

As part of the session, EDIHs engaged in a Start-Stop-Continue exercise, in which EDIHs shared their learnings and offered suggestions on future priorities.
