On 5 June 2025, the first-ever EDIH Network Regional Conference took place in Rzeszów, Poland, as part of EU Industry Days 2025. Held at the ZEN.COM Expo Centrum, this half-day hybrid event brought together EDIH Network members from nearby countries and regions to explore the latest in AI-driven innovation across key sectors.
The event focused on the role of AI in transforming industries such as agrifood, construction, cybersecurity, digital health, and smart connectivity. Through interactive sessions and networking opportunities, the conference helped strengthen regional ties and support the digitalisation efforts of SMEs and public sector organisations.
Event highlights
The event welcomed approximately 100 participants on site, with an additional 109 joining online via livestream. A total of 12 expert speakers from the fields of industry and innovation contributed to the discussions. Meetings were scheduled during the conference to encourage direct collaboration, and the event was conducted entirely in English to ensure accessibility for all participants.
Key outcomes
The event successfully fostered collaboration and reinforced relationships between EDIHs, DG CNECT, and the DTA. It offered a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge, sharing results, and aligning efforts on Europe’s digital transformation journey.
Participants were also invited to stay on for EU Industry Days (5–6 June), continuing the dialogue and connecting with Europe’s broader industrial community.
