Prepare for AI: essential webinar training for EDIHs – coming soon

EDIHs will soon have the opportunity to master the fundamentals of the AI Innovation Ecosystem by completing a series of assessment-based training courses on key AI infrastructure initiatives.

This training package will provide deep dives into each initiative and explore how EDIHs can collaborate with them to accelerate AI development and deployment.

eLearning Train the Trainer Course on the AI Act and the AI Innovation Ecosystem

This eLearning course aims to equip EDIHs with fundamental insights into the EU AI policy and its instruments. The knowledge gained through this course should help EDIHs to fulfil their crucial role as AI centres of expertise and first-line AI helpdesk, including on the AI Act.

The course is divided in two sessions:

  1. Session 1 introduces the architecture of the EU AI Act, including its key objectives, risk-based approach and provisions;
  2. Session 2 provides an overview of the AI Innovation Ecosystem that supports responsible and sustainable AI development and deployment in the EU.

The course will be hosted on the EDIH Academy eLearning platform, where you can enrol in and access the training materials and course assessment. Key information is also available on the new AI Innovation Ecosystem page on the Knowledge Hub.

Webinar-based course series

Webinar 1: EDIHs and Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs): Exploring cooperation pathways

This course aims to explore the complementary roles and functions of EDIHs and TEFs in the digital transformation ecosystem, exploring how to collectively support innovators from lab to market, connecting mature AI technologies with large-scale experimentation infrastructure.

The webinar will be hosted on the EDIH Academy eLearning platform, where you can enrol in and access the live webinar, live session recording, training materials and the course assessment. Key information is also available on the new AI Innovation Ecosystem page on the Knowledge Hub.

Other courses on AI Infrastructures and how EDIHs can cooperate with them will be announced in due course. Stay tuned!

AI ACTor Badge system

To recognise an EDIH’s commitment to continuous learning, a special AI ACTor Badge will be awarded to hubs that complete the e-learning course, attend at least two webinar-based training courses and pass each course assessment. The badge will be displayed on the EDIH Catalogue page of awarded hubs.

To earn the badge, an EDIH must nominate a representative to attend each course, complete the assessment form and commit to sharing the course content and lessons learned with all members of their hub.

Stay tuned for the launch!
