Smart Attica was invited to the final event “Current and Foreseen Security Operations: Challenges and Capability Gaps” of the Mediterranean practitioners’ network capacity building for effective response to emerging security challenges project(MEDEA), which took place in Athens, on the 30th and 31st of October 2023.

During the second day of the event, the focus was placed on a marketplace that was showcased technological solutions ready to use in various security operations.

Periklis Terlixidis, Smart Attica Manager, attended the event following the fruitful collaboration between the Hub and the Hellenic Rescue Team of Attica as part of the “Greek EDIHs build a common Natural Disasters Resilience Masterplan” initiative.

The event targeted practitioners, policy makers, and the industry related to the four following categories:

• Management of Migration Flows and Asylum seekers
• Border management
• Fight against cross border crime and terrorism
• Natural Hazards and Technological Accidents
