Description
The European Digital Innovation Hub South Westphalia (EDIH SWF, formerly "EDIH Suedwestfalen") supports SMEs and public sector organisations in one of Europe’s strongest industrial regions on their journey towards digital and sustainable transformation. Located in South Westphalia, Germany, a region renowned for its manufacturing excellence and more than 150 world-leading hidden champions, EDIH SWF combines technological innovation with a distinctive human-centred approach to digitalisation.
Our mission is to help organisations unlock the potential of Artificial Intelligence, advanced manufacturing technologies and digital solutions in ways that strengthen both competitiveness and people. Through hands-on experimentation facilities, practical demonstrations, expert consultancy, training programmes and an AI Helpdesk, we enable companies and public institutions to develop the skills, strategies and confidence needed to succeed in the digital age.
As part of the European Digital Innovation Hub network, EDIH SWF connects regional stakeholders with leading European innovation ecosystems and infrastructures. We facilitate access to other EDIHs, AI Factories, Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs), the AI Skills Academy, AI Regulatory Sandboxes and cross-border innovation networks, helping organisations benefit from expertise, technologies and collaboration opportunities across Europe.
By bringing together research, industry and practitioners, EDIH SWF bridges the gap between technological innovation and organisational reality. We focus on human-centred AI, workforce empowerment, sustainable business transformation and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, helping organisations turn digital challenges into lasting opportunities while strengthening Europe’s digital sovereignty and industrial resilience.
