The Foundation University Institute for Primary Health Care Research Jordi Gol i Gurina (IDIAPJGol) is a center of reference in research and promotion of health at the first level of care that aims to promote and develop innovation, clinical research, epidemiology and in health services in the field of primary care. We also offer training to generate knowledge, disseminate results and transfer them to clinical practice to contribute efficiency to the health system and to promote and to improve health of people.

The Jordi Gol i Gurina Foundation was created in 1996 by the Catalan Institute of Health, in order to promote and manage innovation, training, teaching and clinical research, epidemiology and health services in the field of primary care. Since 2006 it has been called Foundation Institute for Primary Health Care Research Jordi Gol i Gurina (IDIAPJGol). In 2010 it was assigned to the UAB as a university institute for primary care research.

Our DIH is part of our Living Lab (Real World Lab) with the main aim to support SMEs, start-ups, spin-offs and other research centers to test, validate or use or data, always under the legal Catalan restrictions, to support the development of digital Medical devices, apps, AI and algorithms, among other Health innovations. We have access to about 6 M patients plus 10.000 healhtcare professionals
