IP4FVG - EDIH

Industry Platform 4 FVG - EDIH is the European DIH for Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) Region, Italy. Although the Region ranks among the top national innovators, its economy needs support to boost the benefits of digital & green transformation for SMEs & Public Administrations. Due to its geographical position on the border with Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, its activities acquire a transnational value, especially for Central Eastern Europe. In line with S4 priorities, it promotes the use of AI, HPC and Cybersecurity capacities and in 3 relevant sectors for FVG economy: Manufacturing, Agrobiotech and Energy&Environment. IP4FVG EDIH represents the evolution and scale-up of the regional DIH IP4FVG, fully operational since 2018 (supported by Sistema ARGO, an Institutional Protocol by the National Ministers of University and Research, Economic Development and Friuli Venezia Giulia Region) by a novel set of technologically specialized support services to boost adoption of digital and green technologies by regional SMEs and PAs and by granting access to the existing technological infrastructures for test-before-invest and skills building activities. It will also enable the outreach to complementary services and infrastructures provided by other EDIHs. Actions will be developed to support digitalization policies and stimulate the deployment of e-Government solutions. IP4FVG EDIH engages an ecosystem for digital innovation players, provides services for testing before investing, supports finding investments, financial and fiscal incentives, offers training and upskills services on digital capacities and fosters exchanges and enables local and extra regional SMEs and PAs to get access to the services and infrastructures by the European network of EDIH. A partnership composed by the main regional players representative of the quadruple helix ecosystem ensures competences and commitment to move towards the twin transition.
