EDIHs - AI on Demand Platform: getting to know each other

The AI on demand platform provides AI toolbox to help AI practitioners develop products and services. 

The session gave an overview in the first part, and hands-on tour, walking through the platform and showing how to use the toolbox, notably the AI builder and RAIL. 

The AI on demand platform consists of an ecosystem of projects that started already under Horizon 2020 and that have step-by-step contributed to its different core objectives. This effort is being currently sustained also under Horizon Europe and Digital Europe funding programmes through the AI4Europe and DeployAI projects. The AI on demand platform aims at building a bridge between European AI research, and industry and public services, fostering collaboration among different European stakeholders, reducing the gap between AI research and innovators so AI advances over the state of the art can be rapidly capitalised and transformed into real AI products and services deployed in the market and accessible for European citizens.

The AI on demand platform objectives are:

1. Reduce the fragmentation of the European AI landscape compiling an EU-wide shared catalogue of AI assets (methods, datasets, knowledge, etc.), tools, frameworks, and supporting services.
2. Become the one-stop-shop of reference for trustworthy AI made in Europe.
3. Lower the barriers for European Industry and public services to use AI technologies.
4. Increase collaboration across different AI stakeholders, from researchers to developers.
5. Put in place the mechanisms to ensure support to the ethical and regulatory European pillars.
