The SmartForest 5G Clinics project researched the use of 5G-supported robotic solutions to improve healthcare. Applications such as televisits, autonomous patient guidance systems and robot-assisted logistics were trialled in real hospital environments. The Insight presents key results: Increased efficiency in everyday hospital life, improved patient care and reduced staff workload. Challenges such as technical hurdles and acceptance issues are also discussed.
