Description

Train the Trainer course on 20 June 2023 (09:00-11:00 CET) that will present best practices and tools to analyse key areas of resilience building in local communities, with an emphasis on climate change, energy efficiency and resource planning, related to the current crisis trends that we have witnessed over the last few years.

The digital systems assessment builds on the "enhancement, enabling and disruption" technology model and points to possible pathways for building resilience in communities. For trainers, this course outlines a possible approach to building resilience - involving key areas of analysis, an understanding of the roles that digital technologies play in local communities, and as a systemic mitigation asset in strategic planning.

Learning outcomes:

  • Building resilience with digital systems through the analysis of possible scenarios. Analysis approaches and key areas.
  • Understanding of the analysis context and planning for future scenarios. Role of digital technologies as mitigating factors.
  • Examples of building resilience through digital systems - IoT telemetry system for the management and modelling of a water supply system and IoT systems for energy efficiency.
