Nikolaos Nikolakis is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation (LMS) at the University of Patras, Greece. His main research interests focus on the design, implementation, and adaptive control of cyber-physical systems, industrial informatics, and digital twins in advanced industrial environments. Active in the engineering community, Dr. Nikolakis is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and serves as a reviewer for esteemed journals such as Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing and the Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing Systems. Since joining LMS in November 2013, he has participated in several European research projects, including openZDM, INTERACT, SYMBIO-TIC, and SERENA, working on advanced data-driven approaches to enhance industrial efficiency and adaptability; and collaborated with European manufacturing companies, to address real-world challenges through innovative solutions in automation and manufacturing systems.
