Have your say: EU’s Apply AI Strategy open for public consultation

The European Commission has launched a public consultation and call for evidence on its Apply AI Strategy, designed to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption and innovation. Open from 9 April to 4 June 2025, the consultation invites feedback to help shape a strategy that aims to improve public sector services and support the integration of AI technologies into strategic sectors. 

This initiative is part of the broader AI Continent Action Plan, a coordinated effort to position the EU as a global leader in the development and deployment of AI solutions that benefit society and the economy. The AI Continent focuses on five key areas: 

• Building a large-scale AI computing infrastructure, including AI factories and gigafactories

• Increasing access to high-quality data

• Promoting AI in strategic sectors, such as energy, mobility and healthcare

• Strengthening AI skills and talent

• Simplifying the implementation of the AI Act

Why your voice matters

The public consultation and call for evidence will remain open for eight weeks, from 9 April to 4 June 2025, closing at midnight, Brussels time. 

This is a unique opportunity for industry stakeholders, public authorities and end users to directly influence EU policy and ensure that AI solutions address real-world needs. As a vital part of Europe’s AI ecosystem, the EDIH Network can contribute with valuable insights to help identify priorities for AI deployment and address sector-specific challenges. The consultation also seeks input on the implementation of the AI Act to help determine how the Commission and Member States can better support stakeholders.
