Join us at the DIGITAL SME Summit 2023 in Brussels

The EDIH Network is delighted to be featured in the upcoming DIGITAL SME Summit 2023. This significant event is set to take place at the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels on Monday, 13 November 2023.

Hosted by the European DIGITAL SME Alliance, the summit will focus on advocating a new paradigm for a 21st-century Digital Society, emphasising the pivotal role of innovative European SMEs. It will bring together SMEs from across Europe and key figures from policy, business, academia, and civil society to discuss SMEs’ role in sustainable digitalisation, showcase their digital solutions for Europe’s twin transition – digital and green – and global challenges, and propose policies for a transformative digital EU agenda.

The programme includes debates on geopolitics and digital policy, upskilling the European workforce, countering disinformation in the digital age, and managing innovation and competition in digital markets. In line with the 2023 European Year of Skills, the summit will also address the digital skills gap in the European labour market.

SMEs will have an opportunity to connect with potential partners, suppliers, and customers in the energy sector during a dedicated pitching session. Additionally, the SME Digitalisation Awards will recognise and celebrate SMEs that have made significant contributions to sustainable digitalisation.

The session ‘Success Stories in European Digital Innovation Hubs – Driving Digital Decade Targets’ will gather experts and thought leaders to discuss the pivotal role of EDIHs in achieving the Digital Decade targets set by the European Union. Among the distinguished participants will be Ms. Malgorzata Nikowska, Head of Unit – Digital Transformation of Industrial Ecosystems at the European Commission. This session will showcase success stories from hubs that have made substantial progress in driving digital innovation and explore ideas and recommendations to scale up the EDIHs’ work and amplify their impact.
