Understanding the SME Relief Package: join the European Enterprise Network’s online discussion

Boosting the competitiveness and resilience of SMEs

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, and SMEs (DG GROW D2) is excited to announce the upcoming 2nd European Enterprise Network (EEN) Townhall Talk, focusing on the SME Relief Package.

The meeting will take place online, on 21 September, 09:30-10:30 CEST.

SMEs play a pivotal role in Europe’s economic and social framework, and their wellbeing is at the forefront of the Commission’s agenda. The SME Relief Package aims to enhance the competitiveness and resilience of SMEs, addressing multifaceted challenges, including the financial crisis, the ongoing pandemic, and geopolitical tensions, such as the conflict in Ukraine.

Amid these challenges, SMEs face intricate regulatory environments, administrative burdens, reporting requirements, investment barriers, and workforce skill shortages. The forthcoming EEN Townhall Talk will delve into the specifics of how the SME Relief Package can alleviate these issues and pave the way for concrete actions.

This event is part of the Commission’s commitment to providing SMEs with essential policy insights and expertise to navigate the complexities of the current business landscape. It will feature presentations and discussions with experts from various fields, providing attendees with an in-depth understanding of the package’s provisions and their potential impact on SMEs. Participants will gain insights into the tangible steps that can be taken to support SMEs in these trying times.

This Townhall Talk promises to be a valuable resource for all stakeholders in the future of European small and medium-sized enterprises.
