Description

DigIT Hub Sweden accelerates the adoption of advanced digital technologies in manufacturing SMEs and the public sector across Southern Sweden. With a strategic focus on Smart Manufacturing and Smart Cities, the hub strengthens digital maturity, competitiveness and long-term resilience.

The hub provides services across the full European Digital Innovation Hub value chain, including test-before-invest environments, skills development, support to access financing, and integration into innovation ecosystems. Through these structured services, organisations move from experimentation to implementation and scaling.

With a thematic focus on Smart Manufacturing and Smart Cities, DigIT Hub Sweden brings together expertise in Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and High-Performance Computing (HPC). The hub connects leading research environments with industry and public stakeholders, creating a collaborative ecosystem where innovation can move from testing to implementation.

AI acceleration is a central priority, applied to industrial optimisation, smart public services and data-driven decision-making. Cybersecurity and HPC act as key enabling technologies, strengthening the secure and scalable deployment of digital solutions.

Operating across Skåne, Blekinge and Kronoberg, the hub is closely aligned with regional smart specialisation strategies, ensuring strong relevance to identified industrial and societal needs. Coordinated by Malmö University and delivered through a consortium of universities, research institutes, cluster organisations, science parks and industry partners, DigIT Hub Sweden combines technological depth with practical implementation capacity.

With proven results from its previous programme phase, DigIT Hub Sweden contributes actively to the European network of EDIHs, supporting cross-border collaboration, knowledge exchange and the scaling of digital solutions across Europe.
