Prof.dr.ir. Sebastiaan Meijer is full professor of Health Care Logistics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden and head of the department of Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems. He serves as vice-dean for the School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health at KTH. His main interests are in design methods for such systems, and how different methodologies shape decisions by authorities that manage complex multi-layered organizations and loosely coupled services. Gaming simulation in this sense is used for hypothesis testing, studying behaviour, knowledge and cognition, and designing new practices and procedures. Validity aspects of this type of research are his special interest, as well as multi-method simulation.
