Success Story: Adoption of metal Additive Manufacturing for seating components

Part 1 of this course provided by DIH4CAT, will dive into the exciting world of additive manufacturing markets, exploring types, applications sectors and associated benefits.

Part 2 will present the success story of FAINSA, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of railway and bus components. This part of the course will explore how the company, aiming to enhance its prototyping capabilities, was looking to expand into the additive manufacturing of metallic materials through Selective Laser Melting technology. This part of the course will examine how FAINSA partnered up with DIH4CAT to explore a solution that would reduce design validation time and lead time to market, while at the same time maintaining the production of components on demand.

This course will consider how FAINSA benefited from adopting additive manufacturing (AM) technologies for metallic materials in their production of prototypes and serial production parts for railway seats.
