Description
HiPEAC (High Performance, Edge And Cloud computing) is the premier focal point for networking, dissemination, training, and collaboration activities in Europe for researchers, industry, and policy related to computing systems. Today, its network, the biggest of its kind in Europe, numbers over 2,000 specialists.
All EDIHs with activities in the HiPEAC domains (e.g. High Performance, Edge And Cloud computing) are invited to become HiPEAC members. HiPEAC members also collaborate with, or are consortium partners of, individual EDIHs across Europe.
HiPEAC members benefit from the following services per target group:
- For researchers
Participating in HiPEAC allows academic members to collaborate across disciplines and find partners for research projects or business ventures, as well as attracting new students to their areas of study. It allows them professional development opportunities and gives them greater visibility.
- For industry
By participating in HiPEAC, industry members gain access to over 800 PhD students with the specialist skills needed for a wide range of computing roles. They can form partnerships with researchers and get access to the latest research developments, as well as influencing the direction of computing systems research through the HiPEAC Vision and European Commission concertation meetings.
- For projects and interest groups
HiPEAC helps European Commission-funded project leaders recruit the specialist staff they need to carry out their research. It provides numerous opportunities for the dissemination of project results and helps projects gain greater visibility in the research community while giving them exposure to industry representatives and potential future investors.
If you represent a technology cluster or representative body for technology professionals, joining HiPEAC will help you keep on top of the latest advances in the field. HiPEAC networking events are the ideal way to catch up with expert colleagues and build or consolidate technology communities.
- For students
HiPEAC provides grants for industrial and academic placements, and opportunities to learn from the best computing professors in the world. It is an incubator for the next generation of computing systems talent.
- For innovators
HiPEAC allows innovation specialists access to a large network of highly specialized researchers, as well as making them the first to find out about research results which could be turned into disruptive products or services.
