Manufacturing Digital Transformation
The FactoryXChange 2.0 (FXC) is a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) created to accelerate digital transformation for organisations manufacturing digital transformation across Ireland. FXC 2.0 is a community consisting of businesses, innovators, researchers, and industry experts from diverse backgrounds, all collaborating to advance digitisation and innovation and make cutting-edge technologies accessible to manufacturing start-ups and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). The FXC 2.0 community empowers manufacturers for the future by providing solutions that enable organisations to stay resilient in a rapidly changing world.
The FXC 2.0 consortium brings together Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) as coordinator and core Industry 5.0 test before invest hub, Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) as regional skills and smart manufacturing leader, Irish Centre for HighEnd Computing (ICHEC) for national HPC and AI infrastructure, and KPMG Future Analytics (KPMG) for data-driven strategy, public sector transformation and access to finance support. Regional ecosystem building and hub operations are driven by Creative Spark (CSpark) and Future Cast (FCAST), while Mavarick (MavAI), Cyberlynk, Gemmo AI (GemAI), MicroInspect (MIC) and TisaLabs (TISA) provide applied AI, systems integration, machine vision and cybersecurity, and Inventya Ventures (INV) adds deep innovation management and investment readiness expertise. Frontend (FRO), SalutoPartners (SAL) and Impetus (IMPTS) ensure human-centred design, organisational change and business model innovation, Monarú (MON) designs and delivers flexible, technology enabled hub environments and exhibitions that enhance onsite user experience and learning, and Piquant (PIQ) leads branding, creative content and strategic communications, ensuring strong engagement and visibility across Ireland and the wider EDIH network.
The overall objective of FXC 2.0 is to realise the EDIH as a one-stop-shop with impact. Operationalising an Industry 5.0 EDIH that responds to customer needs in a fast flexible manner, removing financial and operational barriers, by disrupting the way we make things through digital innovations and knowledge exchange. No matter where you are on the island of Ireland you are never more than a 90-minute journey (or a few clicks online) from a trusted broker (Digital Strategist) your connection to the digital capacities offered through FXC 2.0.
